A Few Things About Me

Jen from The King and Eye is hosting the Blog Gems Air Your Archives blog hop this week and it is required of me to post a few things about myself so here it goes:

1. I was an exotic dancer for 6 years in Alaska. It was a love-hate relationship and I made tons of money, sometimes in excess of $1500.00 a night...no kidding!  I also did a short stint in Las Vegas at the Palomino Club and Cheetahs where "Showgirls" was filmed. My blog, Mysterious, reveals some of what it was like if you happen to be interested or curious. Above is a photo of me in costume.
2. I used to work undercover for the FBI doing drug sting operations while traveling around Alaska.
3. I have been married 5 times for various reasons one of which was because I was nearly homeless and got married in order to work out a deal to get a place to live. One was for his green card but it didn't pan out and the one that I loved the most lasted 10 years and he ended up cheating on me but we made amends and he was there when Griffin was born (he was not the father).
4. I used to also be a ballroom dance instructor for Fred Astaire Dance Studio
5. I plan to write a book one day about all of my misadventures.
6. I have been on a road trip across the United States from Alaska to North Carolina and back, 11,000 miles and the last leg of the trip the temperatures were as low as 35 below zero, the gas and fluids kept freezing up and we barely made it home.
7. I have been to Greece twice because the husband that I loved the most was Greek and the food, people, and scenery was to die for!!!! I also taught myself Greek and used to speak it fluently.

Wow, I was wondering if that was you in costume! You should write a book. Dancing, FBI work, and traveling everywhere, the second language...what an adventure! My life is so dull in comparison, lol! :)

I don't do anything except take care of kids and maybe take a cruise here and there. Your life is the kind of book I like to read! I am following your blog now, for some reason I thought I was already, I don't know how I mixed it up sorry.

Heather- You may think that your life is dull but I don't agree because I have had a great time reading your blog!

Jennifer-Taking care of kids is the most important job in the world! That's all I do now too!

Wow, that's quite a varied resume! I agree the book would be a real page turner. :)

Ooh..love it!! And most of the things I knew about as I had read Mysterious. You should start NOW on that book...just jotting things down. Map it out even. Bit by bit in the evenings maybe or while Griffin is in school?

Fred Astaire dance studios? Wow..just the name impresses me.

And I still love that photo. HOT!

You SHOULD write a book! You've had an interesting life. I feel pretty dull now--LOL.

Wow...you've had an incredibly full and interesting life so far! I always thought it would be great to be in the FBI (I'm a big Criminal Minds and CSI fan).

Thanks for sharing! It totally makes me feel like I know you better. I agree...you definitely have book material here :)
